I create ceramics that belong stored away in your cupboards, on your kitchen table, or in your dishwasher. With a focus on creating maximalist functional art, I strive to throw versatile, long-lasting pieces that can be used daily. I layer glazes and apply multiple colors to create each unique piece, but I maintain complementary color palettes. The bright greens, deep blues, and vibrant purples present in my work are not typically found next to each other on factory-made pottery. These tones are present in my work because I want myself and my viewer to find beauty, excitement, and variety in the everyday tasks they can complete with the things I create.
